I’m Evan Gay, the founder of YOLO Adventures. My journey has taken me from the front lines of combat to the sidelines of championship football, and now to the mountain summits that inspire our adventures.

From 2005 to 2010, I proudly served in the U.S. Army Infantry. During my service as an infantry squad leader, I carried out numerous combat missions alongside Navy SEALs, including serving with the legendary “American Sniper” Chris Kyle. The discipline, courage, and teamwork I learned in uniform continue to shape everything I do today.

After leaving the Army, I transitioned into business ownership by investing in the national franchise U.S. Lawns. Over six years, I grew my business into two successful locations in Temple and Waco, Texas. I then returned to my other calling—coaching.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology and my master’s degree in Sports Administration from the University of Mary Hardin–Baylor (UMHB). While serving as a graduate assistant coach at UMHB in 2018, I was blessed to be part of a staff that won the NCAA Division III National Championship. I then accepted the role of Offensive Coordinator in Fort Worth, Texas, where our program made a Final Four appearance and later captured an undefeated state championship.

My love for climbing began on a family vacation when my 11-yr old daughter, Addison, and I summited Mt. Elbert. That climb sparked something in both of us, and since then, I’ve gone on to summit the four tallest mountains in the continental United States. Each peak has deepened my belief that adventure isn’t just about reaching the top—it’s about the journey, the lessons learned, and the memories made along the way.

YOLO Adventures is more than just a name. It’s a reflection of my life’s journey—serving bravely, leading boldly, and living fully. I’m excited to share that same spirit of courage, resilience, and adventure with you.
